As Convicted By Christ continues to look to the future, we have joined with the Four Corners Foundation (FCF) to address another community problem. Statewide, New Mexico is facing the problem of a growing prison population due to extremely high recidivism rates.  Over half of all released inmates released will return to prison within a year. Currently, there are no facilities for incarcerated men to serve out their parole in San Juan County and there are inadequate community resources to provide effective re-entry programs and facilities for former inmates.  There is a growing need for a residential facility where men, many who are husbands and fathers, can serve out their parole in a safe and stable environment while learning life skills to become stable, responsible providers for their families and homes.

Bryon’s House of Hope, named after one of the founders of Convicted by Christ, is becoming a reality.   Only clean and sober, non-violent / non-sex offenders will be accepted into the year-long program.  The men’s reintegration program is structured from proven models with strict house rules, directing residents to appropriate support services, finding employment, financial management, and various life skill course requirements.

Bryon’s House of Hope meets an important need in our community and will help many men successfully re-enter society as functional, self-sufficient members.  Many of these men are husbands and fathers who desperately need to life skills to become stable, responsible providers in their families and homes.
